It is with immense sadness that I have to report the very sudden death of my brother Ian at the age of 52 yesterday. Ian was a member of WHAC throughout most of the 1970s and continued to wear the club's colours for much of the 1980s. 

He joined the Harriers in 1973 where he was part of a successful Colts and later Youth's cross country team. He won Notts AAA medals at both Cross Country and on the track, and represented the Notts in the Inter-Counties and English Schools. Whilst he ran mostly 800m to 3000m on the track, he also entered other distances and field events to pick up team points in the Notts and Midland Track Leagues. He was the Club Cross Country Champion in 1976.
