- 15 races will be designated for a Calendar year.
- 10 undesignated races will be allowed to contribute to an individuals points score, up to 3 could be Marathons. A marathon is defined as a single race of 26 miles 385 yards or 42.195km.
- The 5 County road race league events will be designated.
- 10 Points will be awarded for taking part in a County, Area (North, Midlands or South) or National Championship, whether the race is designated or undesignated.
- A Grand Prix committee, of 4 people, will be formed to adjudicate over all athletes submissions towards the overall Grand Prix standings.
- It is down to each individual athlete to ensure that the Grand Prix committee is made aware of all results which they require to be considered for the Grand Prix season.
- The Grand Prix committee will award two main Trophies, at the end of each season, one each to the overall Male and Female winners, regardless of their age categorisation. These two main Trophies will be returned after being held for one year.
- All age category winners, Male and Female, will receive a small trophy, or plaque, to keep. An athlete will only be awarded a trophy in his/her own age category.
- Age categories will be:-
Male -- Juniors (U20), Seniors, O/40, O/45, O/50, O/55, O/60, O/70,
Female – Juniors(U20), Seniors, O/35, O/40, O/45, O/50, O/55, O/60,
(Age as at 1st of January of the Grand Prix year)
- If Athletes run in the Worksop Half Marathon, as an undesignated race, points will only be awarded if the Athlete provides at least 2 Marshals.
- To be eligible to win a Trophy, in the Worksop Harriers Grand Prix, you must have completed at least one of the designated races in the year.
- Anyone marshalling the Worksop Half Marathon is eligible for 25 points, towards their Grand Prix score (35 points if the Worksop Half Marathon is also the Notts County Half Marathon Championship), provided they also complete one of the designated races.
- To score Grand Prix points, Athletes must have paid their Annual Subscriptions.
- To ensure that Worksop Harriers are motivated to turn out, in force, in Team Races (especially in League and Championship Events)
- To encourage Worksop Harriers to turn out in Championship Races, and give them additional rewards for medal winning performances, both as Individuals and as a Team
- To reward Athletes who wish to enter races over and above those designated, but not to make those rewards so great that they take undue preference over designated races
- To enable all Athletes to run a Marathon, at a time and place that suits them, and to have points awarded for their efforts. No more than 3 Marathons can be included, in an Athletes submission, for a Grand Prix season.
