Gerald Storey Cancer Research Memorial Fun Run - 2nd January 2012.

This run is in tribute to Gerald Story. Gerald was the President of Cancer Research UK in Worksop, was a founder member of the committee and had a very keen interest in running, being also a founder member of Worksop Harriers. We think it is a fitting tribute to a man that gave so much to Running and Cancer Research.

The start and finish is at Worksop College, from the new building again. Changing and toilets also available and there should be ample parking at the College. Please follow any of the Marshall's directions both when arriving and on the route. Please do not park on the grass.

You do not have to register on the day, only if you have sponsorship. It's advised that you aim to arrive by 10.30 a.m. at the latest. If you want to run in fancy dress you can.

We hope you are able to obtain some sponsorship, no matter how little it is. The only way to beat cancer is through research, to try to develop better treatments and screening programmes. Cancer Research UK has funded much of this important work.

If you raise over £30 in sponsorship, you qualify for a free Cancer Research UK running vest. ALL the money raised in entry fees and sponsorship goes directly to Cancer Research UK.

For those supporters who stay behind, there will be a refreshment van with light snacks and tea/coffee on sale. A raffle will be held also. We hope to see you on the 2nd January.

There is a limit to the number of entries this race can handle of approx 300, so if you are wanting to raise sponsorship for Cancer Research, get your entry form sent to the organisers ASAP
