Clowne Cross CountryTo take part in the Clowne Cross-Country races you must be a member of Clowne Road Runners.If any Worksop Harriers wish to take part 2nd claim memebership is £5 & payable to Dennis Learad, you would also need to pay £2 to enter the laegue. So for the princely sum of £7 you get 4 races folllowed the 4 excellent buffets! This years dates & venues were: 21st Jan Retford 4th Feb Killamarsh 18th Feb Handsworth 4th March Clowne Latest news : full set of results for the cross country series available here >. The Killamarsh Kestral were this years victors, well done. Followed by Handworth Road Hogs, Retford and not too far behind Clowne Road Runners. (we will be back next year, fitter, faster, stonger but unfortunately another year older.) Great fun was had by all, the wetter & muddier the course the more fun to be had. It makes all the effort worthwile when you rest your tired, dirty & bloodied legs at the respective club house with a pint of Guiness (or tipple of your choice) and a plate full of food.
