Summer League - Worksop College

The Worksop Harriers had their best results of the season, so far, in the Notts Summer League at their ‘home’ race at Worksop College. Their veteran ladies team finished equal second, just 3 points off winning their league and the senior men’s team claimed an excellent third place, while the Harries veteran men finished in a respectable sixth place with the senior... read more

Big -hearted Lauren Ward’s dreams came true when she finished first girl home in the Hallamshire Neuro Care 3m fun run at Anston. Just 18 months ago this brave youngster was fighting for her life after suffering a rare brain condition. New County Record Holder!

The junior Worksop Harriers strengthened their hold on third place in the Notts Mini League with some excellent results. The clubs star performer was Paige Daughtry who set a new County Record of 3.75m to win the under 11 girls long jump. This promising young athlete also finished second in the 150m in 25.6 seconds. The Worksop Harriers had a very successful competition in the Notts County 10km Championships at Holme Pierrpont coming away with three individual medallists. John Hewitt (14 th overall, 36:10) continued his good form winning his second silver medal in the over 50’s category, to go with his recent podium finish in the 10mile championships. The junior Worksop Harriers had another outstanding performance to strengthen their hold on third place in the Notts Mini League after the second meeting at the Harvey Haddon Stadium at Nottingham. John Hewitt excelled in the Notts County 10mile Championships at Holme Pierrepont where he won a silver medal in his over 50’s age category, finishing 19 th overall in 59:47. Larwood Fun Run & Summer League Results

The junior Harriers excelled in the Larwood Fun Run with all of them finishing in the top 20 of the 73 finishers. Gary Enters 3 Peaks Challenge

Larwood 10km

The third running of the Larwood 10km attracted 345 runners last Sunday. In rather hot conditions Danny Scott (13 th , 39:29) led the Worksop Harriers home.
