The Worksop Harriers had a successful day at the County Cross-Country Championships at Wollerton Park Nottingham.

James Lonsdale won silver in the under 13 boys 3,000mtrs while Ellie Wheatley claimed an individual bronze medal whilst leading the under 11 girls to a bronze team medal along with Lucy Harrop & Charlotte Oakes in the 1,500mtrs race.

Under 11 girls 1,500m

Ellie Wheatley (3^rd, 7:11),

Lucy Harrop (7^th, 7:31),

Charlotte Oakes (17^th, 8:23).

Under 11 boys 1,500m

Nathan Langley (24^th, 8:22),

Bradley Smith (25^th, 8:26),

Josh Charters (26^th, 8:46),

Regan Langley (30^th, 10:42),

James Carratt (31^st, 13:02).

Under 13 girls 3,000

Stephanie Oakes (11^th, 13:09),

Lauren Ward (12^th, 13:15),

Under 13 boys 3,000m

James Lonsdale (2^nd, 11:15),

George Earle (17^th, 13:24),

Tom Carratt (23^rd, 15:37).

Under 15 girls 4,000m

Sarah Gooch (17^th, 25:59).

Senior Women 8,000m

Julie Bonser (42^nd, 38:37),

Christine Stimpson (48^th, 44:49).

Senior Men 10,000m

Paul Dickinson (44^th, 39:16),

Dave Havenhand (54^th, 40:32).

The Harriers also held their home event in the Notts AAA Mini League Cross-Country at Worksop College.

Co-organiser John Harrison said:

“On behalf of the Notts AAA I’d like to thank Worksop College for making their fantastic facilities available to us, it was a beautiful setting for the event. It is only with the help of such public spirited organisations that this long established league is able to continue”
