The fourth race in the Notts Summer League was the Harriers home even, held over a 5mile course, at Worksop College.
Race organizer, John Harrison said:
“We are very grateful to Worksop College for making their fantastic venue & facilities available. It is only with their goodwill that it is possible for us to stage a race and help support what is recognised to be one of the finest county leagues in the country”.
He also thanked all the helpers & supporters who made it possible.
The Worksop Harriers ladies team finished 4th, while the men’s team were 5th in their respective leagues.

The fifth & final race in the league is at Teversal Grange on Wed 11th August.
A successful week for the Worksop Harriers ladies saw them claim prizes far and wide, which bodes well for their forthcoming 100km team relay race from Poland to Germany.
Adele Bryan has tasted her first international victory, finishing first lady home in the Las Vegas 10km in a personal best time of 46:25.
While closer to home, Tracey West (42.04) won a silver senior & gold veteran’s medal in the Nottinghamshire County 10km championship at Holme Pierrepont.
The Worksop Harriers will be supporting ‘Sprint Heroes’ at Manton Club, Retford Road this Saturday. This is free & open to all budding Usain Bolts in the following age categories: under 11’s, 13’s, 15’s, 17’s & 20’s boys & girls, over 80mtrs, with the winners qualifying for the regional event.
The Harriers will also be offering free ‘taster sessions’ in long jump, high jump, shot & javelin throughout the day.
