Sarah Gooch won the ‘Junior Sportswomen Under 14’ at the Bassetlaw Sports Awards – receiving her trophy from double World Champion & Olympic bronze medallist rower Sarah Winckless.
Multi talented Sarah has represented her school & the Worksop Harriers in a variety of athletic disciplines, but it was with the javelin that she excelled. During 2009 she won the Sheffield Festival of Athletics, the Notts County & the East Midlands Championships & recording a number of personal bests.
Well done Sarah!
The club was also well represented at the awards by ‘Jumps & Throws’ Coach Richard Harrop who made it through to the final three nominees in the ‘Coach of the Year’ award.
