Edinburgh Marathon

In weather conditions more suited sitting in the shade with a beer seven intrepid Worksop Harriers ran the Edinburgh marathon last Sunday.
 
On the hottest day of the year so far, finishing was more important than times.
 
All the runners show grit & determination to reach the finish line & the times weren’t all that bad either!
 
They finished:
Steve Rewston 3:27:20,
Steve Battle 3:37:21,
Pete Fendley 3:47:37,
Philip Harrop 4:09:08,
Jimmy Kelly 4:09:27,
Julie Bonser 4:16:08,
Nicola Vaughan 4:20:37.
 
The junior Harriers are competing in the Mini League Track & Field this Saturday (6th. While the senior’s next race is the third race in the Notts AAA Summer League at Erewash on Wed 17th June.
