We held our annual presentation evening last night (Fri 30

After another successful year Michele Harrop recognised the work of all the coaches & assistants, thanked the children’s parents for help in transporting them to competitions & commended all the youngster’s commitment & dedication.
All their hard work was rewarded with the juniors finishing third in the Notts AAA Mini League track & field competition – their best ever result. To mark this achievement the following were awarded commemorative medals:

Senior Grand Prix Winners

The winners of the club Half Marathon Championships were Steve Battle & Julie Bonser, who both retained their trophies.
While Tim Doughty won the Gerald Story Memorial Trophy for the first Harrier home in the Worksop College Cancer Fun Run, indeed he was the outright winner of the race! As Gerald Story was the founder of both the Harriers & the local branch of Cancer Research he is rightly well remembered.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to a very fine quality buffet – if only your running matched your culinary skills!! -
Only joking.
Thanks also go to those who made generous contributions of raffle prizes that helped raise £61 for club funds. I gather the 3’ x 4’ oil painting by an ‘unknown Chinese master’ now gracefully adorns Helen & Dave’s lounge! – It’s a joy to own and a pleasure to look upon – well done Lauren it was a brave choice!!
The junior’s next competition is the penultimate Mini League Cross-Country at Berry Hill, Mansfield, on Sunday (8
th
).
Any outstanding membership fees should be forwarded to Janine ASAP to enable her to send them off to UKA – You can download a membership form from the top of the home page – it helps keep all your information up to date if you fill one in each year – Thank you.
