Bolsover - GP Final

The final race in the senior Harriers Grand Prix was held at the Bolsover 10km last Sunday. The cold & still conditions were ideal for running fast times - for those who hadn’t been over indulging in the Christmas festivities!

John Hewitt (26^th, 2^nd V50, 37:16) led the men home, while Julie Bonser (292^nd, 48:55) showed grit & determination to finish the Harriers first lady back after a hard fought battle with Caroline McGinley (298^th, 49:09).

The rest of the Harriers finished as follows:
Terry Millington (100^th, 42:18),
John Harrison (103^rd, 42:27),
Tony Savage (104^th, 42:27),
Jimmy Kelly (268^th, 48:15),
Geoff Gorringe (283^rd, 48:36),
Carol Lonsdale (346^th, 50:49),
Alan Johnson (424^th, 52:45),
Dino Amendola (480^th, 54:04).
There were 748 finishers.

Now the Grand Prix has finished you need to submit your claims for Un-Designated races to Peter Fendley ASAP so we can get the trophies engraved for the Presentation Evening (which I think has been booked at the Cricket Club for Fri 30^th January).

John Hewitt (40^th, 36:44) also did well at the Percy Pud 10km where he finished first in his over 50’s age category out of a record field of 1410 finishers. His daughter, Charlotte (808^th, 53:18) followed him home.
