County Cross-Country Championships

The club looks set to have it’s best turnout for years in the Notts AAA Cross-Country Championships, at Berry Hill on 10^th Jan, with 40 athletes, young & old entered to run!

The ever-improving junior section lead the way 21 runners and the seniors are making something of a revival with 19 entrants!

There are high expectations at both ends of the age range with the Under 11 boys & girls teams & John Hewitt (over 50’s) & Keith Hopkinson (over 60’s) all expected to be in with a shout of ‘medalling’ (Sounds like the Olympics!).

The fun starts at 11am with the Under 11 Girls 1.5km
Followed by:
Under 11 Boys – 1.5km – 11:15am
Under 17 Men – 6km – 11:30am
Senior/Vet Women – 8km - 11:55am
Under 13 Boys – 3km – 12:05pm
Under 20/Senior/Vet Men – 10km – 12:35pm
Under 13 Girls - 3km – 12:45pm
Under 17/Under 20 Women – 5km – 1:30pm
Under 15 Girls – 4km - 2:00pm
Under 15 Boys – 4.5km – 2:20pm

Anyone wishing to take part in the Midland Cross-Country, also at Berry Hill on 24^th Jan, should contact Michele Harrop (Juniors) or John Harrison (Seniors) before the end of December.
