Mini League Sportshall

The junior Harriers maintained their position in the third meeting in the Notts Mini League Sportshall competition. This is a reflection of the consistently improved performance over past years.

Under 11 girls
Chloe Hallewell: 1 Lap (3^rd, 14.2), Standing Triple Jump (3^rd, 4.27m).
Lauren Ward: 1 Lap (14.8).
Miranda Parks: Chest Push (2^nd, 5), Vertical High Jump (5^th, 32cm), 1 Lap (15.3).
6 Lap Paarlauf: Ward & Hallewell (2^nd, 1:29.8).
This meant as a team they finished 3^rd in their age group.

Under 11 boys
Despite a disappointing team turnout, strongman Daniel Appleby was undeterred and recorded some fine results to finish 5^th team although he was the only Harrier. He won the Chest Push (1^st, 6.25) and also finished the 1 Lap race (3^rd, 14.0) and the Vertical High Jump (4^th, 33cm).

Under 13 girls
Sarah Angel: Shot (4^th, 5.13m), 2 Laps (5^th, 28.6).
Anna Hall: 2 Laps (32.8), Standing Triple Jump (3.69m).
Sophie Bonser: Vertical High Jump (6^th, 31cm), Standing Triple Jump (4.75m).
Bethany Platford: Standing Triple Jump (3^rd, 5.37m).
6 Lap Paarlauf: Bonser & Angel (4^th, 2:06.4).
4 X 2 Lap Relay: Bonser, Hall, Angel & Platford (4^th, 2:06.2).
This meant a s a team the girls finished =4^th in their age category.

Under 13 Boys
Luke Hallewell: 2 Laps (3^rd, 26.0), Standing Triple Jump (5^th, 5.59m).
James Fleeman: 2 Laps (28.4), Vertical high Jump (39cm), Shot (5.56m).
Ben Twible: Vertical High Jump (5^th, 41cm).
Jack Harrop: Shot (4^th, 5.82m), Vertical High Jump (34cm).
8 Lap Paarlauf: Harrop & Twible (4^th, 1:58.1).
4 X 2 Lap Relay: Hallewell, Fleeman, Harrop & Twible (2^nd, 1:49.7).
With the boys finishing 3^rd in their age group.

Under 15 girls
Emily Appleby: 2 Laps (4^th, 26.7), Standing Triple Jump (4^th, 5.56m).
April Ward: Vertical High Jump (3^rd, 41cm), Laps (27.9).
Stacie Leather: Shot (3^rd, 6.03m), 2 Laps (28.9).
Lucy Roberts: 2 Laps (29.4).
8 Lap Paarlauf: Ward & Appleby (3^rd, 1:53.7).
4 X 2 lap Relay: Ward, Leather, Roberts & Appleby (2^nd, 1:50.1).
This strong team performance saw the team to 2^nd place in the age category.

Unfortunately the Harriers failed to field any under 15 boys which held the club as a whole back, nonetheless they finished in 3^rd place overall.

The next meeting of the League is on 11^th January at the Grove Leisure Centre at Newark. But before that is the youngsters can get muddy in the next Mini League Cross-Country competition at Brieley on 14^th December.
