John Hewitt excelled in the Notts County 10mile Championships at Holme Pierrepont where he won a silver medal in his over 50’s age category, finishing 19

The 5.5mile Totley Moor fell race was the 5
th
race in the Harriers Grand Prix & involved over 1,100ft of ascent & decent making it a tough way of gaining points, nevertheless 5 ‘GP Bandits’ were whiling to give it a go.
They finished:

The Harriers Grand Prix continued with the 3
rd
race in the Notts AAA Summer league over a hilly 5.5mile course at Erewash. Due to road safety concerns the race was run in the opposite direction to past years, this made things interesting as it meant that the biggest hill came at the end of the race.
Kyle Craib had an excellent run to lead the club home finishing 9
th
in 31:08.
This remarkable performance by the sixteen year old strengthened his hold on the lead in the under 20’s category.
He was followed by:
Steve Battle (27

, 32:25),
John Hewitt (28

, 32:30),

John Proffitt (185
th

Jimmy Kelly (211
