The junior Harriers excelled in the Larwood Fun Run with all of them finishing in the top 20 of the 73 finishers.
Aidan Bonser won the race, followed by: Ben Twible (4th), Emily Appleby (5th, 2nd girl), Daniel Appleby (7th), Lauren Ward (9th), Sophie Bonser (13th), Paige Daughty (17th).
Another good turn out by the Worksop Harriers in the Notts AAA Summer League saw all their teams move upwards after the second race at Holme Pierrpont, Nottingham.
The senior men’s teams climbed to 4th & 23rd (from 5th & 24th) while the veteran men jumped to 8th (from 13th).
Also making good progress the veteran ladies team gained a place to move up to 5th (from 6th) with the senior ladies rising to 13th (from 15th).
The star performer for the club was once again 16 year old Kyle Craib who led the team home finishing the 5mile course 21st, in 28:30. To cap a fine run by the youngster Kyle moved up to first place in the under 20’s competition.
Hot on his heels came John Hewitt (27th, 2nd V50, 28:43) & Peter Roberts (33rd, 28:58). Next came Paul Dickenson (48th, 29:53). Richard Simms (60th, 30:24) finished bruised & bloodied after taking a nasty fall at 4miles but battled on to the end before retiring to the first aid tent.

Craig Argyle (63rd, 30:30), Robert Roper (92nd, 31:35), John Harrison (121st, 32:51), Tony Savage (126th, 33:05), Keith Hopkinson (135th, 2nd V60, 33:20), Dennis Learad (152nd, 33:56), Graeme Murray (205th, 36:43), Jimmy Kelly (231st, 37:47), John Proffitt (234th, 38:00), Geoff Gorringe (257th, 40:52), And Graham Sheen (263rd, 42:22).
Nicola Vaughan (37th, 37:11) led the ladies teams back followed by: Carol Lonsdale (66th, 39:20), Tracy Moore (70th, 39:31), Caroline McGingley (74th, 39:55), Charlotte Hewitt (81st, 40:44) added to the Harriers successes by taking the led in the under 20 girls category. Julie Bonser (92nd, 42:01)
