Following the December Committee meeting the following was decided:

London Draw
The draw for the clubs two London Marathon places will take place on Thurs 3rd January at the Kilton Inn - as the December Chip Butty Night was cancelled due to Christmas!
To enter the draw you must have a rejection slip & be a paid up 2008 active member. We will also draw a 1st & 2nd reserve in case one of the winners get injured & drops out before the day.

Winter Training Venue
A number of people have expressed a wish to move away from Manton Club during the dark nights. It was decided to pole members to see which of the following options would be most popular: Valley Sports Centre, Bassetlaw Arena, or to stay at Manton Club. Please email me your preference before the 3rd January. Should we move it is anticipated that we would return to Manton on the first Tuesday in April.

Grand Prix
Following the Bolsover 10km the ‘designated’ races in the clubs Grand Prix are now over You will be automatically allocated your points for these races & the current standings will be on the website shortly. But you still have to claim your points for your ‘undesignated’ races & the form to do this should be on the website - these points will decide who wins what!

Club Standards
The awards for the club standards, along with the Grand Prix trophies will be made at the Presentation Evening on the 25th Jan. If you have achieved a club standard since 1st Jan 2006 you need to give the details & proof to Peter Fendley before 3rd Jan 08. The standards are on our website.

Presentation Evening
The Annual Presentation Evening is 7.30pm at the Worksop Cricket Club on Friday 25th January. Admission is via providing a plate of food for the buffet & a raffle prize. Current holders of club trophies please now return them to John Harrison.

We plan to take a tent & cooking stove to make hot drinks & soup – but if anyone is willing to bring a gazebo, that would be great, as we’ll struggle to get all 28 of us in Stevie B’s tent!
