Rolling back the years !
John Hewitt rolled back the years in the County Track & Field Championships at Moorways Stadium today. 35 years since he last competed on the track he finished a fine fourth (10:00) in the masters 3km in cold, wet conditions. With the lowering of the 'masters' age category from 40 to 35 the quality of his performance can be appreciated when you consider he was running against athletes 15 years his junior.
His next 'outing' will be the second race in the Notts AAA Summer League at Holme Pierrepont this Wednesday (16th May)
